Most eSIMs activate only when connected to a supported network or any supported network.
However, some eSIM cards activate immediately upon installation, regardless of location (not at the destination).
Activation policies are as follows:
"Validity starts when eSIM connects to any supported carrier network": This means you can install the eSIM before traveling without activating it. Upon reaching your destination, simply follow the setup instructions provided in the eSIM installation guide, and you'll be able to connect by opening the eSIM line.
"Validity starts from installation": This means your eSIM activates immediately upon installation, so even though you haven't reached your destination yet, the validity period will still begin counting.
